Dr. Johan Ghazali, ND Dr. Johan Ghazali is a registered member of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC since 2000. He received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle and did his undergraduate training at University of BC in Physiology (Honours). He has an interest in chronic diseases and has worked previously at the Center for Integrated Healing, the first integrated cancer treatment center in Canada. Furthermore, he undertook training in Radiology at Providence Healthcare (St. Paul's Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital), Richmond General Hospital, Kelowna General Hospital and Vernon Jubilee Hospital. He also holds a special interest in Cardiology and did a rotation at the cardiology department of Surrey Memorial Hospital. Furthermore, Dr. Ghazali believes in giving back to the naturopathic community by following his passion in teaching and mentoring medical students at the Boucher Insititute of Naturopathic Medicine where he has been a clinical faculty member for the last three years. Dr.Ghazali believes in total health through following the basic principles of Natruopathic medicine namely, remove the cause, stimulate the natural healing abillities of the body, treat the whole person and using natural therapies that are effective and least harmful to the body. He takes a holistic approach to health where it is the sum of many intricate parts that make up a functioning and lively human being rather than the individual components working by themselves. Health is achieved by resoring balance to the different organ systems and aiding the body in healing itself through traditional and new age natural therapies.
