At Integrated Health ClinicTM Cancer Care Centre we provide cancer treatment options for all cancer types. Whether before, during or after receiving conventional cancer treatment, we offer the highest level of expertise available to integrate conventional and naturopathic approaches in cancer treatment. We see patients at all stages of cancer care. The issue of cancer treatment is very complex and should be individualized. An approach including diet, lifestyle, and many other supportive treatments is now commonplace. Surveys conducted over the past decade consistently indicate that approximately 90% of cancer patients use some form of complementary treatment. Unfortunately, this is often done without consulting doctors knowledgeable in drug-herb and drug-nutrient interactions, and without the knowledge of their oncologists. We monitor supplement intake to ensure safety from potential drug-herb and drug-nutrient interactions. Naturopathic Oncologists are the most highly qualified medical professionals in this regard. We work closely with your oncologists and other members of your cancer care team to effectively monitor the progress of your treatments. We also offer supportive treatments such as acupuncture for pain, nausea, and low white blood cell counts. We refer regularly to our resident chiropractor to assist in pain-related treatments. As cancer almost always disrupts emotional states, we encourage stress management techniques and other therapies to help heal psychologically.
