My name is Dr. Wayne Phimister and I’m certified as a Family Physician in Canada and a General Practitioner in the UK. I hold the post of Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Family Medicine, University of British Columbia in Canada. I’m also certified in Medical Acupuncture in Canada and the UK, and in Intramuscular Stimulation (GunnIMS) from the Institute of Study and Treatment of Pain in Vancouver, Canada.
At Integrated Health Clinic my practice will address chronic pain management with the main focus of treatment being trigger point injections. I use an unique formula to obtain optimal results in several weeks. I compliment treatment by focusing on posture correction, cognitive behavioural therapy and the mind-body connection to understand why pain exists and lead the way in pain recovery.
I will not be seeing patients as a general family practitioner.

Chronic pain is at epidemic levels in our society and across the world and our current physiological understanding and treatment modalities are falling short of the goal of finding pain solutions. I aim to teach, inspire and lead the way to help many towards hope of a brighter future, understanding of why pain persists despite treatments, and pain reduction with an improved quality of life.
