Preparing for a pregnancy is an important step in the path to parenthood. Ensuring that the “mother to be” has optimal nutrition, hydration, and no pre-existing conditions that may hinder conception and a healthy pregnancy are vital to success. Adequate thyroid function, iron and Vit B12 stores, and optimal progesterone production, for example, are important to prepare for healthy conception and pregnancy.
Miscarriages happen more frequently in the first trimester. Low progesterone, high prolactin, and auto-immune conditions (to name a few) can predispose a women to higher rates of miscarriage. Identifying these situations prior to conception may decrease the chance of suffering from a miscarriage.
We believe in “preparing the soil”. The doctors at Integrated Health Clinic have been helping women since 2000, to prepare for and maintain healthy pregnancies.
