A bit about IHC
Our beautiful clinic is in Ocean Park, at the border of South Surrey and White Rock. Many of our patients spend time strolling the White Rock beach, boardwalk & pier, perusing the local shops, and checking out one of the many outstanding local restaurants. For our patients traveling from elsewhere in Canada or the US, there are several Airbnbs, rentals, B&Bs and hotels nearby that make coming to the clinic for extended periods quite convenient.

The Integrated Health Clinic was founded in 2000 by husband-and-wife team Drs. Gurdev and Karen Parmar. The clinic provides a truly integrative naturopathic medical approach working alongside MDs and RNs for patients seeking advanced healthcare. We have assembled an incredible team of healthcare providers working together for your health.
The IHC is a model for the standard in integrated healthcare delivery. Our programs receive referrals from medical doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and specialists including oncologists and gynecologists. Naturopathic medicine is the art and science of disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention using natural therapies including: botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation, traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, lifestyle counselling and health promotion and disease prevention.

Yes. Naturopathic Doctors at the Integrated Health Clinic have full prescriptive rights for pharmaceuticals detailed within the scope of practice for the British Columbia Naturopathic Association.

No, Naturopathic services, including lab testing, are not covered under MSP. However, Naturopathic services are often covered under many extended health plans so it is important for you to check with your individual providers to clarify coverage.

We do not deal directly with private insurance companies. We do, however provide an invoice with each visit that details the services provided and the associated cost. This invoice can then be submitted in accordance with the specific guidelines for your insurance company.

During your initial consultation the doctor will review your medical history, evaluate your current health concerns/issues, and conduct a physical examination as appropriate. Your visit will conclude with a review of your doctors recommendations for appropriate testing, treatment and follow-up.

Yes, we ask that you bring certain information with you as appropriate to your individual circumstance. This includes:
New Patient Intake Form (mandatory)
Information pertinent to your medical history (conditions previously treated, allergy confirmation, surgical notes, etc.)
Recent blood work or diagnostic imaging reports

Because of the high demand we experience for treatments and consultation services, we require 24 hours notice for cancellation. We have a wait list of patients eager to attend the clinic who we can call to fill vacant appointments with sufficient notice. We appreciate your cooperation in this regard.
For appointment no shows or last minute cancellations, we will administer an appropriate cancellation fee.

No, a referral is not required. We simply ask that you give us a call so we can review your particular circumstance and make recommendations for a doctor appropriate to your needs.

Appointment Cancellation Policy
Please be advised a minimum 24 hours’ notice is required for appointment cancellations, in order to avoid the cancellation fee of 50% the service fee. No-Shows will be billed at 100% of the service fee.
