Co-Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Karen Parmar is the Co-Founder and Medical Director of Integrated Health Clinic (IHC). She is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in British Columbia, Canada, and Washington State, USA, with a special focus on comprehensive women’s health care across all stages of reproductive life.
Dr. Parmar is passionate about supporting women from contraception and fertility through perimenopause and menopause. She developed and oversees the Women’s Care Centre at IHC, which provides integrative, evidence-informed care to support women throughout their reproductive journey.
As Medical Director, Dr. Parmar leads and mentors a collaborative team of doctors within the Women’s Care Centre at IHC. She works closely with practitioners providing women’s health, fertility, and menopause care, ensuring patients benefit from a supportive, team-based approach grounded in clinical excellence and compassionate care.
An experienced fertility-focused Naturopathic Doctor since 2000, Dr. Parmar has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and couples through complex fertility challenges, with a particular focus on recurrent implantation failure (RIF) and recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). She developed IHC’s comprehensive 6-Phased Fertility Approach, an integrative framework designed to systematically assess and optimize the key factors influencing reproductive health and successful pregnancy outcomes. Her approach combines evidence-informed naturopathic medicine with collaborative medical care, providing patients with personalized treatment plans that support them throughout every stage of their fertility journey.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Parmar is an IUD insertion trainer for the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) and the Founder & CEO of Integrative Reproductive Care, a continuing education company dedicated to advancing reproductive and women’s health education for healthcare professionals.
Dr. Parmar has been recognized as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) since 2020. This certification reflects advanced training and expertise in evidence-based menopause care and demonstrates her commitment to staying current with the latest research, clinical guidelines, and treatment protocols for women before, during, and after the menopause transition. As an MSCP, Dr. Parmar provides patients with comprehensive, up-to-date care focused on hormonal health, symptom management, long-term wellness, and individualized treatment options throughout every stage of menopause care.
