Dr. Karen Parmar, is a co-founder and medical director of Integrated Health Clinic, in Fort Langley, BC. She has been a practicing naturopathic physician since 2000, and was president of the regulatory college from 2011-2015. Dr. Parmar has maintained a practice in women’s health for the past 2 decades, focusing mainly on hormone imbalances in cases of infertility and recurrent miscarriages. In the past few years, her focus has broadened to include peri-menopausal and menopausal women as her areas of interest and personal journey have fallen into this category. She prides herself on staying on top of the research for hormone replacement therapy for reproduction, and longeivity. Dr. Parmar believes that all women in perimenopausal and menopausal years, should be educated in options, pros and cons to HRT, and guided in their journey to optimal health holistically.
As well as treating fertility to menopause, Dr. Karen Parmar is board certification in IUD (intrauterine devise) insertions. She utilizes ultrasound to guide the insertions, and to ensure the IUD is in the correct location in the uterus. She inserts IUD’s for her own patients, and also takes referrals from ND’s and MD’s throughout the Fraser Valley.
